A YouTube sleuth, called Jackie, went to her local store and found that Aldi’s drying mat is back on shelves.
She filmed her discovery, noting that it’s been something she’s been “wanting to update.”
The packaging shows that the oversized drying mat measures 18 inches by 24 inches in size.
It also shows that the mat is reversible and absorbent.
The clip shows three different styles, one with lemons and a baby pink checked one.
One that she doesn’t pick up shows a flower pattern on it.
Fans were quick to thank her for the tips, as she went around the store pointing out a bunch of great finds.
One person thanked her for the mats specifically, saying: “Ooooo….I have to go to Aldi tomorrow!
“I collect those drying mats….I love changing them out for new designs. Thanks Jackie!”
Other people were amazed by the Aldi value.
Another keen commenter wrote: “Ooh I will definitely look for the ombre tumbler for $9.99!”
A third added: “The cat warmer bed you got your cat a few months ago made me run out and get one for my old kitty.
“He loves it and uses it all the time! Thanks for pointing it out. I got the last one they had.”
WELCOME BACK, STANLEY
The US Sun also reported on the return of the viral Stanley Cup dupe Aldi sells.
Aldi’s Adventuridge Thirst Crusher Tumbler is almost identical to the beloved Stanley Quencher H2.0 Flowstate Tumbler.
The main difference is the price.
Aldi sells its version for $9.99, a far cry from the $45m it costs to own a Quencher.
The Crusher was initially released in 2023, and quickly sold out.
How to cut the cost of your grocery shop
BELOW are some tips on how to reduce the amount you spend on groceries.
- Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
- Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
- Never shop hungry – You are far more likely to buy more food if your tummy is rumbling
- Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
- Use social media – Follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
- Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
- Check the small print – It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
- Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards
It was brought back in 2024, when it sold out yet again.
Shoppers in the comments said that their store “had NONE at 9 am Wednesday morning” back then.
“My store was already sold out,” another moaned.
Those who got one in 2024 praised the dupe online, with one person claiming that they “absolutely LOVE it.”
Allrecipes reports that the cup has been back on Aldi shelves since March 12.
