AARON Rodgers likely won’t be happy to wake up Wednesday morning to find out the Pittsburgh Steelers traded a star wide receiver to a rival team.
Head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers reportedly dealt a wideout to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys were on the hunt for a No. 2 wide receiver to play alongside CeeDee Lamb, and the team got their man for the job.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Cowboys and Steelers are finalizing a deal that will send George Pickens to Dallas.
The report added that the Steelers will get back a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick and the Cowboys will also receive a 2027 sixth-round pick.
The 24-year-old Pickens is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

It was previously reported that the Cowboys were in discussions with an AFC North team about a trade for a wide receiver on the day of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but the talks ended as the festivites began.
So it appears that the Cowboys and Steelers were in conversations about a potential trading involving the former second-round pick Pickens.
Last season, Pickens recorded 900 yards on 59 receptions.
He has posted at least 800 receiving yards in his first three seasons.
However, Pickens had a bit of difficulty with his own team in 2024.
The wide receiver was late to the Christmas Day game with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Then, Pickens had an altercation with fans during the regular-season finale in January.
Tomlin also previously claimed Pickens needed to “grow up in a sincere warning.
“He’s just gotta grow up, man,” Tomlin said in December.
In March, the Steelers acquired and extended receiver DK Metcalf to potentially work with Pickens.

But that possibility will not happen, leaving Rodgers, who’s linked with the Steelers, without a key target to utilized.
The Steelers didn’t draft a wide receiver, and their wide receivers room now looks middling outside of the two-time Pro Bowler Metcalf.
Robert Woods, Calvin Austin III, Scotty Miller, and Ben Skowronek are among the wideout options for whoever leads the offense in 2025.
Multiple reports indicate that Rodgers landing with the Steelers could happen this month.
Underdog NFL insider James Palmer reported that Rodgers “has remained in relatively constant contact” with Tomlin and the Steelers.
If the four-time NFL MVP signs with the Steelers, the 41-year-old would join a quarterback room of Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson, and 2025 sixth-round pick Will Howard.
