The death of a Bronx woman — struck in the head and killed with a kettlebell — sent her boyfriend on a downward spiral that included a string of arrests, desperate attempts by friends and family to get him help and finally ending with him being stabbed to death on the street weeks later in a tussle with a homeless man over a box to sleep in.
