ABBA Voyage tickets are on sale for anniversary shows with free gifts

ABBA Voyage is ramping up its celebration for the band’s history – but only for this week.

The exciting and technologically jaw-dropping live music experience is changing things up to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of ABBA’s Eurovision Song Contest win back in 1974.

Fans will no doubt recall the pop superstars won the competition in Brighton, England, 50 years ago, with their iconic track Waterloo.

This SaturdayApril 6, 2024, marks the 50th anniversary of the incredible win, and ABBA Voyage is holding two extremely special shows to mark the occasion.

Tickets for the two gigs – the 15:00 matinee and the 19:30 evening show – are out right now, and they come with some extra gifts.

Every ticket to either of these shows will come complete with a free drink token, and “an exclusive ABBA Voyage x Waterloo commemorative gift” upon arrival. These will no doubt never see the light of day again, so if you’re keen to attend this historic set of shows, you should buy tickets very soon before they run out.

ABBA Voyage was first unveiled in May, 2022, and stunned critics. The groundbreaking feat brings fans into a live concert through state-of-the-art technology whereby members of the Eurovision Song Contest-winning band wore motion-capture suits to create ABBAtars, virtual facsimiles of themselves to perform.

Using this jaw-dropping technology ABBA can perform like they are in their mid-20s again, playing some of the biggest songs they’ve ever written through exclusive CGI technology that has been utilised in Star Wars and Marvel films.

The virtual comeback of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad is a sensational display of their music’s immortality, shown through the wonders of technology.

It has been described as “maybe the greatest ABBA performance that the world has ever seen”.

The Daily Express’ chief theatre critic, Stefan Kyriazis, described the experience as “spectacular” and gave it an incredible four stars.

ABBA Voyage’s producers, Svana Gisla and Ludvig Andersson, exclusively told Express.co.uk that the innovative experience “only works” because it’s ABBA. They went on: “It’s their souls infused in every aspect. It was their desire, their ambition to do this. It moves me to watch it, you can feel what they feel, all the soul behind their eyes. If you go away thinking it was an impressive scientific feat, we will have failed. It has to feel real.”

Tickets for ABBA Voyage are available right now, and many of the dates are beginning to sell out. If you haven’t experienced ABBA Voyage just yet, you’ll want to act fast, as the show is only being held until May 2024 – that means there are fewer than eight months of shows left.
