Tesco issues important message to anyone who buys Baileys at Christmas

Tesco has delivered a crucial update to fans of Baileys this festive season. The beloved beverage is a top choice for host gifts this Christmas and the second most popular gift for friends and family, as per Tesco’s Christmas Trends Report 2024.

This makes it an ideal time to stock up on Baileys, a holiday favourite that’s also perfect for seasonal recipes like Festive Eton Mess or an Irish Cream Chocolate Yule Log. Fortunately for enthusiasts, starting Tuesday, November 19, Tesco is offering 1L bottles of Baileys at their lowest price of the year*.

Until December 9, shoppers can snag a bottle for just £10** with a Clubcard, saving 54 percent (£12). Tesco’s Christmas delivery slots also opened last week, attracting eager shoppers who queued from the early hours.

Priority slots were available from November 5, but regular customers can now secure their slots as of 6am on November 12. How can I book a Tesco Christmas slot?

Booking either a click & collect or home delivery slot with Tesco couldn’t be simpler.

All you need to do is simply head over to the Tesco website, book your chosen slot and then continue on with your food shopping online as usual. A handy piece of information to note is that you can make any changes to your order up until your selected slot.

For home delivery, Tesco offers a ‘fixed one hour slot’ or a ‘flexi saver slot’, providing customers with a one-hour window on the day of their delivery. However, the click & collect service only offers a fixed one-hour window.

As of now, Tesco’s Christmas food slots are available from November 12 until December 20 for home delivery, and until December 22 for click & collect. Slots are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening, but they’re filling up fast.

Delivery slots come at a cost, ranging from £3 to £7 for regular shoppers, depending on the selected time and date. Click & collect is slightly cheaper, costing between £1 and £3.

For those who prefer not to pay for online food shopping, Tesco’s Delivery Saver Pass is worth considering. This monthly subscription eliminates the need to pay for an online slot.

The supermarket charges just £4.99 a month for a six-month ‘off-peak’ pass, while its ‘Anytime’ pass costs £7.99 per month for six months.

The pass is also available for the click & collect service, costing £2.49 per month for six months. However, shoppers should consider if their weekly online shopping justifies the costs.

More information can be found on the Tesco website. Visit Tesco’s website to book your Christmas food delivery slot.
