50 Cent has denied his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy’s claims that he raped her during their relationship.
The rapper says he’s now fighting for sole custody over their 12-year-old son, Sire, TMZ reports.
Joy, an actress and model who dated 50 Cent from 2011 to 2012, was recently named in one of the lawsuits brought against the rapper and music producer Diddy, which alleged she had served as a “sex worker” for the accused music mogul.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, reacted to the news by calling her out on his Instagram page.
“I didn’t know you was a sex worker, you little sex worker. LOL,” the 48-year-old wrote in a post Wednesday.
Daphne Joy responded with a shot of her own in her Instagram story. “Let’s put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me,” she wrote. She also denied claims in the Diddy lawsuit, writing the idea she was a sex worker is “100% false.”
In response to her rape accusation, 50 Cent gave statement to TMZ on Thursday: “The most recent false and baseless accusations by Daphne Joy are clearly in response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son. My son Sire is my main priority and keeping him in a safe environment is my only focus at this time.”
Just a day prior, 50 Cent teased a documentary series about Diddy and the litany of sexual assault and sex-trafficking allegations that have been brought against him in recent months.
The “In Da Club” rapper tweeted a mocked-up poster with the title “Diddy Do It?” It showed the 54-year-old Bad Boy Records founder atop multiple manila folders with the label, “Case Files.”
“This is gonna break records when this drop,” he wrote in the caption, adding that all proceeds would go to victims of sexual assault and rape.
It’s unclear what exactly is motivating 50 Cent to produce the documentary, but it is noteworthy that Diddy and Daphne Joy have also been rumored to be romantically linked in the past, according to TMZ.
