Donald Trump called “rebel” Nigel Farage a friend in his last rally before the US election.

The US presidential candidate for the Republican Party spoke tonight (November 4) at his final campaign rally at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Trump is hoping the rally will help him clinch the battleground state, with Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrat candidate, also holding a rally in Pennsylvania tonight.

While speaking, the Republican candidate referenced the head of Reform UK and MP for Clacton, Farage.

He said: “We have a man from Europe. I don’t know if he’s here, I saw him backstage. What he is doing is sort of what we did a few years ago. He’s doing a great job.

“He’s always been my friend for some reason. He liked me, I like him. He’s shaking it up over there. He was the big winner of the last election in the UK.

“He’s a spectacular man, very well respected. Nigel Farage. He’s a little bit of a rebel but that’s good. Don’t change Nigel.”

Trump’s callout to Farage reportedly got little response from the audience, who gave muted applause for the UK right-wing figure.

Farage announced he was in America for the rally with GB News, saying on X (formerly Twitter) that “a Trump win will make the world a safer place”.

He then posted a picture of himself at the rally in Pennsylvania, wearing a blue “Make America Great Again” baseball cap.

The MP also posted a clip of Trump’s callout to him with the caption: “This special relationship”. The video showed Farage’s reaction to Trump’s comments, with him laughing and standing and waving to the crowd.
