Mavericks vs Rockets | Wednesday, Oct 21, 2026 at 8:30 pm ET | Toyota Center, Houston, TX | ESPN

Cooper Flagg, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun. Four stars take the court in a major matchup between two Texas teams. Flagg enters his sophomore season, and Irving returns to action after an injury that kept him out all of last year. Kevin Durant looks to try and prove he can lead a team with all the pieces to the championship. Sengun needs to take another step forward in playmaking and defense if he wants to be viewed as an elite scorer.

Warriors vs Lakers | Wednesday, Oct 21, 2026 at 10:00 pm ET | crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, CA | ESPN

Steph Curry and the Warriors take on Luka Dončić and the Lakers. The Warriors seem to have every season riddled with injuries. Jimmy Butler will start on the sideline, as will Kristaps Porziņģis. That’s 40% of their starting lineup missing to start the season, and there’s no great timetable for when they will return. The Lakers are healthy and looking to establish a new identity. Dončić will still be the elite scorer, but the team needs some defensive help and youth, which is where Walker Kessler and Austin Reaves come into play.

Suns vs Trail Blazers | Wednesday, Oct 21, 2026 at 10:00 pm ET | Moda Center, Portland, OR | ESPN

One of the more interesting stories for this season is how Portland will work with essentially nothing but guards on their team. They took a shot on Ja Morant (no pun intended). There is no disputing Morant’s talent, but he has continuously caused headaches for his teams, and his reckless play keeps him getting injured. The Suns go into the second year with the combination of Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks leading the way. Will the team have enough depth to get back into the postseason?

Hard Rock Bet is offering new users a chance to bet $5 and earn No Sweat Bets. If those bets lose, you’ll be given up to $500 in bonus bets.
