Europe’s biggest theme park 'just as good as Disneyland' that cost £600m to build

Disneyland Paris, the theme park known for its fun and magic, is a place where most children dream of going.

However, Europe offers another option that will open children to new adventures, keeping them just as entertained as Disneyland would.

Germany’s alternative to Disneyland, Europa-Park is located in the city of Rust. With more than 100 rides, several shows and 14 roller coasters, the theme park is surely worth a visit.

The park, launched in 1975, has seen investments worth around £600 million pounds.

Today, it sees around six million visitors and is amongst the top 25 most visited theme parks in the world.

Spanning 230 acres, this theme park is one of the biggest on the continent.

What makes the park unique is its country-themed sections across the park – including Italy, Holland, England, France, Scandinavia, Spain and the German Alley.

Among the many attractions the park has to offer, one of its main ones is a roller coaster named Silver Star, constructed in cooperation with Mercedes Benz. Found in the French section of the park, the roller coaster has a whopping height of 240 ft with a drop of 220 ft.

Europa-Park not only has endless rides to choose from, but it also hosts plenty of events throughout the summer and winter seasons, including Science Days aimed at schoolchildren and teachers, but opened to anyone from ages 9 to 99 who is interested in discovering the world of STEM.

If you thought that was al, the 230-acre theme park also houses six hotels, a camping site, a tepee village, a 4D cinema and a conference centre. So, you really are spoilt for choice at Europa-Park.
