If you’re ready to lock in on some great football action, get up early because the games start as early as 9:30 ET. BetMGM is offering new users a chance to enjoy up to $1,500 in bonus bets if your first wager loses when you register using promo code FOXNEWS.
The first game of the day is between the Eagles and Jaguars, with kickoff coming at 9:30 ET from London. The Eagles enter the day with a 2-2 record, and the Jaguars are a strong 3-1. Both teams made the postseason last year, but fell short without making any real noise. The injury report for the Eagles makes this one look like it could be Jacksonville early and often.

In the main slate of games today, there are some games that stand out, like the Packers hosting the Bears. Another game worth watching is Las Vegas vs. New England. The Raiders look like one of the best teams in the league in the early going. The Patriots have been good at home, and they are coming off a win over the Bills. The Raiders beat the Patriots to start last season; can they do it again now that they are actually a good team?
In the afternoon set of games, everyone will be focused on the Seahawks facing the 49ers. However, a game worth keeping an eye on is between the Broncos and Chargers. Denver has high hopes for this season, but has struggled on the road. In two road games, they’ve scored 24 points. In their two home games, they’ve scored 50 points.
The Chargers have looked miserable no matter where they play and are 0-4 to begin the year. Something has to change, and it has to happen in a hurry. Perhaps a home game against a rough road team will be the cure. One thing that is certain — if they want to change their season, it has to happen today.
The last game of the schedule is the Sunday Night Football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Atlanta Falcons. The Ravens are 3-1, and I suppose they could be 4-0. The Saints narrowly beat them, and without that, their record would be perfect. The Falcons started their season with Cooper Rush at quarterback. Once they got Michael Penix Jr. back they’ve won two straight and are now looking for their third game.
