WNBA veteran Natasha Cloud smears Fever fan with wild domestic abuse claim over pointing finger at A'ja Wilson

Fever’s Sophie Cunningham LAUGHS IN THE FACE of WNBA Crybaby A’ja Wilson Don’t @ Me w/ Dan Dakich

Dan breaks down the funniest reaction in the WNBA as Sophie Cunningham laughs off A’ja Wilson’s total meltdown over a fan simply pointing a finger. While A’ja Wilson expected the entire league to rally behind her after leaving the court to confront a Fever fan, Sophie Cunningham did what she does best: throw fuel on the fire and laugh in her face. Meanwhile, Prime Video’s broadcast panel completely missed the mark by rushing to defend Wilson, and the outrage mob on Bluesky immediately scapegoated Indiana fans with wild accusations before anyone even knew what was said. Dan Dakich shreds Prime’s soft coverage, exposes the narrative push against Fever fans, and explains why Sophie Cunningham is officially the most entertaining player in the entire WNBA.

The WNBA’s favorite narrative — that players are perpetual victims — just reached peak delusion thanks to Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud.

Following Tuesday’s baseline dust-up after a foul on Fever guard Sophie Cunningham, Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson confronted a fan, leading Cloud to take to Threads and smear both the Indiana Fever organization and the spectator.

Cloud demanded the Fever publicly condemn the fan, despite arena security clearing him of any wrongdoing. League guidelines explicitly prohibit players from stepping off the court or entering spectator space to confront fans.

WNBA REFS MISS OPPORTUNITY TO EJECT A’JA WILSON OVER MELTDOWN, ENTERING STANDS

Yet, as reported by OutKick’s Dan Zaksheske, the WNBA excused Wilson under the absurd claim that she was standing in a “player escape lane.”

“[And] imma be the one to say it’s time for Indy as an organization to start denouncing some s——t,” Cloud posted, defending Wilson and dragging the Fever.

Then came the wild leap.

Cloud launched slanderous accusations about the spectator’s personal life based on nothing more than a brief clip of him pointing a finger.

A'ja Wilson in a huddle

“Mind you he is the 2nd man to take a step towards the court… Wife had to yank him down out of embarrassment,” Cloud wrote.

And then she crossed into reckless slander:

“Even worse…. if he’s willing to do that s——t in public to a woman he doesn’t know….how do you think he acts in his home?”

The Sky guard closed her rant by framing players as victims: “No it’s not our job to continue to fix the problems. Our job is to hoop & to be safe doing it.”

A veteran WNBA player publicly implied a fan is a domestic abuser because he pointed a finger after a whistle: pure character assassination. Without a shred of evidence, Cloud casually weaponized domestic violence allegations against a fan who was simply cheering for his home team.

This isn’t Cloud’s first time acting as a courtside moral crusader, either. Just last month, she instigated a baseline scene with former NBA center Enes Kanter Freedom in Chicago, marching over to confront him at his seat.

In today’s WNBA environment, facts are secondary to maintaining the preferred narrative.

ENES KANTER FREEDOM SENDS LETTER TO WNBA REQUESTING REVIEW OF SKY EJECTION INCIDENT, FULL TICKET REFUND

A vocal contingent of players and media members operates under a bad-faith assumption, labeling Indiana’s fanbase as toxic. You have to ask the obvious question: is this constant outrage really about fan decorum, or is it because Indiana rostered the two most popular white players in the league, Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham?

Except the actual facts tell a completely different story.

Gainbridge Fieldhouse arena security conducted an immediate, onsite investigation into the baseline incident.

Security guards interviewed witnesses, reviewed footage, and officially confirmed that the spectator committed zero violations of the Fan Code of Conduct. He was cleared on the spot and remained in his seat for the rest of Indiana’s playoff win.

Yet for Cloud, official clearance means nothing. The assumption of guilt is permanent because it fits the narrative: Fever fans are bad, players are infallible and standing up to point is dangerous.

When a WNBA veteran does it to a fan who was officially cleared of any wrongdoing, the league office stays silent. Protecting the narrative will always come ahead of the truth.
