Spell-casting Kentucky woman accused of dismembering, cooking her mom

A 32-year-old Kentucky woman “casting spells” was arrested after police found cooked body parts belonging to her mother inside the oven of a home where the rest of the victim’s dismembered body was also discovered.

Shortly after noon on Wednesday, state police received a call that a corpse had been located by a worker on a property belonging to Trudy Fields in Robertson County, according to ABC affiliate WCPO.

The worker said Fields didn’t answer when he knocked on the door, so he went to the back of the house where he found a clump of hair, a blood-stained mattress and eventually the victim’s body lying in the grass. He notified state troopers, who also discovered the dismembered body, a second mattress and a blood-covered stick.

A Kentucky State Police Special Response Team was called to the scene. Inside the home, they encountered the victim’s daughter, Torilena Fields, whose hands and face appeared to be covered in blood.

Tear gas was reportedly used to force the woman from the home, which investigators managed to search around 11 p.m. That’s when they made the grisly discovery of a stainless steel pot full of human remains. Cops also found body parts and organs on one of the mattresses near the victim’s body.

Torilena Fields has been charged with obstructing governmental operations, evidence tampering and abusing a corpse. More charges could soon follow. It’s unclear how the victim actually died.

According to a police citation,  the worker who found Trudy Fields’ body told police the victim’s daughter was “casting spells on them and being confrontational” when he was on the property a day earlier, reported NBC affiliate Lex 18.
