Eğil Mayor Fırat Seydaoğlu held the opening of Narin Children’s Park with children on the occasion of October 11th International Girls’ Day.

We held the opening of Narin Children’s Park, whose name we had previously changed, on the occasion of October 11th International Girls’ Day. Today is their day and when our girls have the opportunity to realize their dreams, they have the power to change the world.

Seydaoğlu emphasized the power and potential of girls and said, “Today is their day and when our girls have the opportunity to realize their dreams, they have the power to change the world.”
While children were spending time in the new park with great excitement at the opening, Seydaoğlu stated that such projects contribute to the development of children and that they will continue to support them.
Who is Narin Child?
The incident in which Narin Güran, 8, who lives in the rural Tavşantepe Neighborhood of Bağlar district of Diyarbakır province, was reported missing by her family on August 21, 2024, and her body was found on September 8, 2024. Her body was found in a sack in Eğertutmaz Creek near the village. The perpetrators of the murder have not yet been determined. 24 people, including her mother, father, older brothers and uncles, are still in custody and the investigation is being conducted by the Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor’s Office.[1]
In the list of 24 people in custody; 10 people, including Salim Güran (uncle) on September 2, Yüksel Güran (mother) on September 12, Enes Güran (older brother), were requested for arrest, 3 people were requested for judicial control, and 10 people, including Arif Güran (father), were requested for release.[2] The village imam was released on September 11.
No confession was made during the investigation process, only Nevzat Bahtiyar confessed to the crime and confessed to hiding Narin Güran’s body in the stream bed. The prosecutor’s office requested the arrest of Nevzat Bahtiyar for accessory to the crime.
