Dolly Parton’s sisters are shutting down claims of a family feud as tensions surrounding the late country legend’s legacy have spilled into court.
Nearly one month after Parton’s death, her sisters pushed back against reports of infighting within the family, insisting they remain united as a separate legal dispute involving the singer’s longtime manager and nephew resulted in a temporary restraining order.
“I’ll say this and this only: there is no feud within our family,” Freida Parton shared Wednesday on Instagram. “No one among the Parton/Owens family is fighting over Dolly’s estate. We all love Bryan, just as we all love each other. I love you all!!”

Parton’s sister Stella echoed Freida’s message, emphasizing that the family remains united as it continues to navigate its grief.
“It has been a comfort to experience such an outpouring of love on [Dolly’s] behalf as we grieve her passing,” Stella posted Thursday on Instagram.
“We are also grieving the loss of our brother Denver who passed less than a month before her. All families have the same struggles since we are all living in this world having a human experience!
“We are still intact and moving forward because our children and grandchildren look to us for strength and guidance during this difficult time of loss and confusion for them as well,” she added.
“Regardless of what you may have seen on different news outlets, we are all doing what you would be doing under the same circumstances, we are living our lives one day at a time and being grateful for every blessing.”

Parton’s legacy took a dramatic turn this week when her longtime manager sought a restraining order against the country icon’s nephew.
Danny Nozell, who runs She’s Alive, LLC, an entity Parton created to oversee her business interests, filed for the restraining order on behalf of She’s Alive against Bryan Seaver and Seaver’s private security company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services, in Nashville, according to The Associated Press.
A Tennessee judge granted the temporary restraining order Wednesday, citing a pattern of alleged threats and demands for payment, along with Seaver’s “claimed access to weapons, experience with violence, and intention to retaliate.” The order called the communications “concerning” and specifically pointed to an alleged threat to use force.

Nozell and She’s Alive accused Seaver of sending increasingly threatening messages in the weeks leading up to their request for a temporary restraining order. The filing came after She’s Alive fired Seaver over his alleged “terrorizing conduct.”
Court documents obtained by The Associated Press show text messages and emails allegedly sent by Seaver.
In one message written Sept. 1 and included in the court documents, Seaver said, “I’m going to set up a podcast dedicated to ruining Dolly’s brand partnerships and telling the violations these people have done on us. It’s going to be great. Or f—ing pay me.”

Seaver pushed back against the allegations in a statement shared with TMZ. He said the messages had been taken out of context to make them appear threatening.
Seaver’s company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services, had provided Parton’s security detail throughout her career. Parton chose Seaver to publicly announce her death. The singer-songwriter died Aug. 25.
