Staten Island motorcyclist, 21, killed in crash with SUV driver

A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV driver on Staten Island, police said Thursday.

Kurbanov Abdumalik was riding south on Richmond Ave. in Eltingville when he collided with a Chevy Trailblazer near Amboy Road about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.

Abdumalik was thrown from his Yamaha motorcycle and landed on the asphalt, cops said. Medics rushed him to Staten Island University Hospital North but he couldn’t be saved.

The 25-year-old woman driving the Trailblazer was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.

Abdumalik was about four miles from home when he crashed, according to cops.

No charges were immediately filed as police continue their investigation.
