An ex-con accused of stabbing a Brooklyn MTA subway operator, leaving the victim in critical condition, was walked out of an NYPD Transit stationhouse in handcuffs Wednesday to appear in court.
Jonathan Davalos, 27, allegedly stabbed veteran train operator Myran Pollack as the victim walked through the No. 4 subway train, clearing it of passengers, at the Utica Ave. stop in Crown Heights about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday.

During Pollack’s walkthrough, which he is required to do when the train reaches its last stop, Davalos refused to get off the train, sparking an argument, MTA officials said.
That’s when Davalos, who has a tattoo that reads “Fear No One” on his arm, pulled a knife and attacked Pollack, stabbing him between six and nine times in the stomach and leg, members of the Transport Workers Union Local 100, which represents MTA employees, said Tuesday.
“He was just doing his job,” MTA Chairman Janno Lieber said of Pollack outside of Kings County Hospital Tuesday, where the train operator was undergoing surgery. “He was attacked by somebody who has a history of attacking transit customers and MTA employees.”
Davalos, who also has a tattoo of Mr. Monopoly carrying a sack of money, is facing attempted murder, assault, and menacing charges. His arraignment at Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending Wednesday.
He was released from Sing Sing prison in February after serving three years on an assault conviction in 2021 and is on parole until 2028, according to state records.
He has been arrested 12 other times over the past decade, mostly for assault and robbery, cops said.
