PHOTOS: WWII aircraft arrives at the Intrepid Museum in NYC


The Intrepid Museum received an iconic WWII Corsair for a months-long restoration project on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, in New York City. A World War II FG-1D Corsair, courtesy of the National Naval Aviation Museum on behalf of the Navy History and Heritage Command, travelled via trucks from Washington, DC to New York to undergo restoration from the museum’s in-house specialists.
