Owners of two major car brands can now save thousands on repairs

The online marketplace eBay has announced it is teaming up with two major car brands to help drivers cut the cost of car repairs.

With many fearing the upcoming October Budget will lead to them paying more for road tax and fuel duty, some drivers are taking maintenance and minor repairs into their own hands. To help drivers avoid taking a faulty car on the roads, the retail platform has teamed up with Renault and Dacia to provide quality used components.

Abir Tewari, Director of Commercial Operations – Parts and Accessories at eBay UK, highlighted that the partnership with the two brands will help owners find quality parts for less.

He explained: “We’re excited to welcome Renault and Dacia to eBay’s expanding collection of official OEM stores. This collaboration means that our customers now have even greater access to a broad array of genuine parts and accessories, all with the confidence of eBay Assured Fit.

“It’s another step forward in our mission to make vehicle maintenance more accessible and reliable for everyone.”

The partnership between eBay, Renault and Dacia will allow drivers who want to repair their own car to browse through thousands of listings for parts, largely made by the manufacturer and sourced from scrapyards.

This includes everything from body panels to suspension and braking components, all of which will likely be significantly cheaper and more environmentally friendly than new replacement parts.

eBay has also reassured motorists that all parts sold by the company are covered by an Assured Fit guarantee, meaning they can be returned within 30 days if they do not fit.

Mathieu Mignon, Director of Aftersales at Renault Group UK, hopes that the partnership will make it easier for drivers to find the parts they need at a good price.

He added: “Launching eBay stores for both Renault and Dacia marks a significant milestone for us. We know that owners will benefit greatly from the convenience and accessibility of eBay as a platform for sourcing essential parts and accessories for their vehicles.

We look forward to expanding our stores further and continuing this valuable partnership with eBay.”
