CORONATION Street actor Jack P. Shepherd has shared a slew of behind-the-scenes images from filming the harrowing car crush stunt which almost cost David Platt his life.
The star saw his character arrange for himself to be killed by a speeding car in order for his wife Shona to claim life insurance to pay off the debts they owed to Harvey Gaskell.

The Platt family have faced endless turmoil in recent weeks with David’s shock suicide bid having devastating consequences.
Although he survived the incident, he lost lots of blood, with the scenes being a hard watch for many viewers.
Now, actor Jack has showed just how much fake blood he had to be covered in, in order to film the scenes.
He had to be painted in blood all across his face with it being heavily applied around his ear and his nose.
Jack also showed how the make-up department had got to work at covering his arm and one entire side of his body in the fake blood.
Differing shades of red were added with a deeper and darker colour applied at one section of his arm in order to give the illusion it was a real gash.
Captioning the snaps on Instagram, Jack wrote: “Here’s all behind the scenes pics and vids I took while filming the recent eps, it was a great block that everybody worked so hard on and I think all departments got something out of it.
“We hope you all enjoyed as much as we enjoyed making it.”
It wasn’t just Jack’s body that had to be transformed with David’s iconic denim jacket also being blood-soaked almost entirely.
Although David managed to survive, for many fans, they were left convinced that his time on the Street was up ahead of Jack’s upcoming Celebrity Big Brother stint and the recent cast cull.
Moreover, Jack recently spoke out and admitted that his contract was up for renewal sparking fears he may not make a comeback following his reality TV stint.
Speaking ahead of his 25th Anniversary in Weatherfield, Jack shared whether he’s open to staying for longer.
He told The Sun and other media at a press day: “I was only in the show three months originally, and then they just kept on sort of ringing my mum up, and my agent saying, ‘Yeah, we’ll extend it.’
“So, yeah, 25 years is a long time, I think, for anyone. But I get year contracts now, I don’t get three-months ones.
“So, I’m only ever here for like, another year, so. It runs out this year, [laughter] so they might not continue it!
“They might go with someone else, but I’m still enjoying it.”
