The daughter of former MLB pitcher Greg Swindell was found safe in Oregon early Tuesday morning, four days after disappearing from Texas with her ex-boyfriend.
Brenna Swindell, 29, was located in Klamath Falls, Ore., around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Houston Chronicle reported. She had last been seen Thursday night at a bar outside Austin, Texas, and had no contact with her friends and family in between.
Swindell was found with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry, according to Austin ABC affiliate KVUE. He had been accused of attacking Swindell at a Texas residence last month and was arrested on an outstanding domestic violence warrant.
“She has been found. That’s all we have for now. Thank you to everyone. And I mean everyone who helped in the process,” Brenna’s father wrote Tuesday on social media.
Greg Swindell pitched 17 years in the major leagues, including four seasons with the Houston Astros. He won the 2001 World Series with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Brenna Swindell and Guidry were spotted around 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Poodies Hilltop Bar in Spicewood, Texas, about 30 miles northwest of Austin, according to police. Guidry’s dad later found a note that read, “Off to travel the world. Love, Morgan and Brenna. See you on the other side,” KVUE reported.
Early Tuesday morning in Oregon, cops pulled over a stolen vehicle and found Guidry and Swindell inside, according to the Chronicle.
Guidry was arrested in connection with a July 7 incident, in which he was accused of slamming Swindell’s head on the ground and ripping out her earring, causing her ear to bleed, Austin Fox affiliate KTBC reported. He also grabbed a rifle and threatened to kill Swindell but fled the scene with the weapon, according to police.
