Bronx man arrested for fatally bludgeoning his neighbor

A Bronx man has been charged with bludgeoning his neighbor to death, police said Friday.

Joseph Kovacs, 50, was charged with manslaughter and assault for the killing of 44-year-old John Dolce, police said.

Officers responding to a 911 call found Dolce unconscious in his Leland Ave. apartment building near Archer St. in Parkchester around 4 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, cops said.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene, according to law enforcement.

The city’s medical examiner ruled Dolce’s death a homicide, with a police spokesman saying that Dolce suffered blunt force trauma to his head and body.
