Cause of death revealed for 23-year-old YouTuber Twomad

A cause of death has been revealed for YouTube star Twomad, who died in February at the age of 23.

Born Muudea Sedik, the polarizing internet personality — who at the time of his death had over 2 million subscribers — died of an accidental morphine overdose, according to the report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, obtained by TMZ on Friday.

The report said that mitragynine, the major active alkaloid found in kratom, also contributed to the YouTuber’s death. Kratom is often used to treat opioid withdrawal.

Sedik’s death was promptly investigated as a possible overdose, given the drug paraphernalia that authorities found at his L.A-area apartment on Feb. 13, a source told TMZ at the time.

Authorities found Sedik unresponsive while conducting a welfare check after he had not been heard from for several days — during which time he also missed multiple appointments.

Prior to his death, Sedik had displayed worrisome behavior.

In eight different tweets on Feb. 8, Sedik shared photos of firearms, eliciting concern from followers.

Those posts came months after he allegedly made threatening remarks to video game streamer Goldibell, who accused Sedik of having sexually assaulted her. She claimed that when she tried to distance herself from Sedik, he stalked her — allegations he denied.

“Never sexually assaulted nobody in my life but not gonna stop crazy b—h from lying on youtuber guy,” he tweeted at the time.

“I’m not likely to bianca u tbh,” Sedik also wrote in one reported exchange, appearing to refer to the 2019 slaying of Upstate New Yorker Bianca Devins.

The 17-year-old was murdered by Brandon Clark, then 21, who posted photos of her dead body online, only for them to circulate on sites like 4chan and Discord. Clark in 2020 pleaded guilty to her murder and was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
