Woman injured at event where Hulk Hogan hurled beer cans

A 50-year-old woman needed stitches after being injured at an event where wrestler Hulk Hogan tossed around beer cans and racial jokes.

The injury occurred at the Thirsty Cowboy bar in Medina Township, Ohio, where Hogan was promoting his Real American Beer, according to Cleveland’s Plain Dealer.

It’s not clear if the woman was hit by a projectile hurled by the 300 lb. grappler, born Terry Gene Bollea. Witnesses said the can appeared to have been thrown from a stage area where Hogan and his team were in charge.

The victim was reportedly struck in the head and needed nine stitches. She was also under observation for a possible concussion. Police don’t believe the woman was hit intentionally. No one was arrested.

Hogan’s promotional event Monday also drew attention for derogatory comments Hogan — who endorsed Donald Trump at last month’s Republican Party convention — made about Democratic Party presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

“Is she Indian?” Hogan asked the crowd.

Video obtained by TMZ shows him then holding up his hand and saying “How” to imitate the offensive way Native Americans in old Westerns greet people.

Harris’ mother was from India, which is an entirely different ethnic group.

Hogan, 71, is scheduled to continue promoting Real American Beer in other Ohio locations Thursday. The beer is billed as a domestically brewed light lager. It’s not yet available in New York.

The company’s goal is “to bring people together, one beer at a time,” according to its website.

The victim was reportedly at the bar with her husband and daughter. She told police she’s not sure who threw the can that hit her. Video from the event shows Hogan asking enthusiastic fans if they want him to throw more beers into the crowd.
