Jurgen Klopp lands new job as ex-Liverpool boss returns to the dugout

Jurgen Klopp is set to return to the dugout for a special farewell match for Borussia Dortmund legends Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski. The former Liverpool boss has been enjoying his free time since leaving Anfield but will soon be back on the touchline for a unique one-off game.

In a promotional video published by Dortmund on Friday, it was confirmed that Klopp would return to the dugout at Signal Iduna Park for the first time in nearly 10 years. He will be involved as a manager with Piszczek and Blaszczykowski set to be given an emotional send-off after years of service to the German giants.

Piszczek, who is now a member of Nuri Sahin’s backroom team at Dortmund, began the video by saying: “We have a farewell game, do you know that? We need a coach and I have an idea, we’ll call the retired coach.” The video was then split into three screens, showing Klopp with black sunglasses on.

“You finally have your farewell game,” said the former Liverpool manager. “Oh my God. And you want to train, are you stupid? Klopp was then asked if he would be managing one or both teams and left the Dortmund legends in fits of laughter with his response, saying: “I couldn’t care less.”
