Chick-fil-A is bringing back the banana pudding milkshake it shelved in 2011.

That sweet treat is billed as “a nostalgic delight” being brought back by popular demand. It came and went in the same year, but fans have been clamoring for its return ever since.

A Change.org petition was launched in 2017 to bring back the 880-calorie dessert beverage. It garnered only 73 signatures. Another one started in 2019 got hundreds of supporters.

Chick-fil-A describes that “Icedream” concoction as a “soft-serve-style dessert, mixed with real bananas and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles, and topped with whipped cream and a cherry.”

The fast food joint also announced the return of its Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, which was introduced to the menu last year.

That spicy twist on the brand’s much-loved chicken sandwich is “drizzled with honey, topped with pimento cheese, and served on a warm, toasted bun with mild pickled jalapeños” and includes an “added choice of the Spicy filet,” according to a Chick-Fil-A press release.

The filet option is said to have been inspired by how customers customized the sandwich when it debuted.

Both items will be offered for a limited time beginning Aug. 26.

Chick-fil-A is also trying something new this year that may be of interest to banana shake fans looking to put a little pep in their step. The Banana Frosted Coffee mixes cold-brewed coffee, Icedream, banana and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles for guests at the restaurant’s more than 3,000 operations nationwide. That includes nearly 20 New York City locations.
