Let’s face it, barring a catastrophic launch in which the game doesn’t load past the menu screen, GTA 6 is going to be the best-selling title of the next decade or so. With more than 180 million views at the time of writing, the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer has broken all kinds of records, as fans countdown the days until Rockstar reveals any additional information. While we don’t know exactly when the next Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer will drop, a recent leak suggests the game’s release date will come around much sooner than expected.
While it’s worth taking the rumours with a grain of salt, the latest rumours suggest that GTA 6 will have a February 2025 release date.
Rockstar has already confirmed that the game will launch in 2025, with most fans believing that the title would drop at the tail-end of the year.
According to an insider with a pretty good track record of leaking GTA 6 info, the game is pencilled in for an early 2025 release, possibly February.
There are also unconfirmed reports that the next trailer will make its debut in May, so hopefully we’ll find out more then.
A previous report suggested the second Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer would be released this summer, and would feature a jaw-dropping graphical upgrade.
Based on the rumours, the next GTA 6 trailer will also reveal a new location, and will focus more on second playable character Jason.
What we do know for sure is that Grand Theft Auto 6 takes place in the state of Leonida, which is based on Florida.
Rockstar continues: “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
The trailer gives fans a look some of the map locations as seen from the skies above. This includes locations based on the Florida Keys, as well as the beach and more.
GTA 6 will make its PS5 and Xbox Series X|S debut in 2025. The exact release date should be revealed as part of the next trailer. Fingers crossed the rumours are true and it launches next February.
