“Usually, midday is when we bake the most and we have hot bakes ready more often so that’s a good time to get hot ones, but in the evening we don’t really cook that much because it’s not busy so most of them won’t be as warm.”
Greggs was forced to close some of its bakeries on March 20 due to technical issues, and customers weren’t happy.
Thousands took to social media to express their shock, as some stores in Cardiff, Manchester and London were affected. One commented on X, formerly Twitter: “Hey, why are all the Greggs stores shut in Cardiff with temporarily closed signs on, but staff are inside baking?”
Another one said: “Greggs closed in Manchester, this will cause a riot.” A Greggs spokesperson told Express.co.uk they were experiencing issues accepting payments in the shops.
