Olympics LIVE: Imane Khelif files legal complaint as Team GB athlete makes unusual excuse

It’s the final day of the Olympics, with the closing ceremony taking place in Paris this evening after two weeks of sporting action. There is still time for more history to be made, though, with a number of medals up for grabs as the Games draw to a close.

Team GB need two more medals to beat their tally of 64 from the last Olympics in Tokyo three years ago. Rose Harvey, Calli Hauger-Thackery and Clara Evans are competing in the women’s marathon as the athletics programme comes to an end.

Emma Finucane and Jack Carlin will be in action on the cycling track with a strong chance of finishing in the medal positions for Team GB. Emily Campbell, the first British woman to win a weightlifting medal in Tokyo, will be hoping to repeat the feat before midday.
