Homeless man charged with pair of unprovoked Queens stabbings minutes apart

A homeless man was charged Wednesday with stabbing two strangers in Queens in unprovoked attacks minutes apart, leaving one of them clinging to life, police said.

Feruz Radjabov is accused of stabbing a man pumping gas in Ozone Park in the back and then dashing into a nearby subway stop — where he allegedly slashed the throat of a man waiting for the train.

Radjabov, 40, was charged Wednesday with attempted murder, felony assault and weapon possession plus criminal trespass, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and harassment.

The first victim, a 40-year-old man, was pumping gas at the Mobil station North Conduit Ave. near Cohancy St. in Ozone Park when he was knifed without warning about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. Surveillance video captured that attack, police say.

“He was bleeding a lot from the left side,” station worker Rakib Hussein, 30, said of the vicitm. “He was pumping gas at pump number one and the guy walked up and stabbed him in the back.”

The victim staggered into the gas station where Hussein was working behind the cash register and begged him for help, he recounted.

“He said ‘Call the police,’” Hussein recalled. “When I saw how hard he was bleeding I was in shock. I was scared. What was I supposed to do?”

Medics rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he is recovering.
