A body was discovered near a bridge in Yonkers around 2 a.m. Monday.
According to an ABC News source, the corpse was dismembered and inside a shopping cart.
Investigators spotted the body under the Oak Street Bridge near Yonkers western border with Mount Vernon, according to News 12 in Westchester. The bridge reportedly stretches over the Bronx River, the Bronx River Parkway and Metro-North train tracks running between Grand Central Terminal and upstate New York.
Numerous emergency response units were seen in near the overpass Monday morning. The victim’s age, gender and race are unclear. How, where and when the person died is also unknown. The Yonkers Police Department hasn’t returned a request for comment.
