The day has arrived for the opening ceremony at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with around 10,000 athletes from around the world expected to play their part in a star-studded event.
But the action is already underway, and once of the faces of the Summer Games, rugby player Antoine Dupont, played a starring role as France beat Argentina last night to make the semi-finals of the men’s 7s. The football tournaments are also underway, while the preliminary rounds have taken place in both handball and archery.
