Prince Harry has faced criticism for not bringing his young children over to the UK to see their family, with King Charles reportedly especially keen to get to know his grandchildren.
Veteran royal photographer Arthur Edwards pointed out that Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, have not been able to build relationships either with their young cousins, the Wales children.
He told The Sun: “He’s not only denying the King (the chance) to see his grandchildren, he’s denying Archie and Lilibet [the chance] to see their cousins.
“Those children are grandchildren of the King and they’ve got royal titles – one’s a Prince and one’s a Princess and they should be more respectful, certainly Harry should bring them to see the King whenever he can, but so far he comes alone and goes quickly.”
The Duke of Sussex last visited his father in February hours after learning that the King had been diagnosed with cancer, however his trip was extremely short.
He was able to spend just 30 minutes with Charles after his plane landed at Heathrow, with Harry then jetting back to California the next day.
