Amazon Prime Day 2024 may be grabbing the headlines right now, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some fantastic deals available elsewhere this July. Indeed, Argos arguably has the video game deal of the month available in store and on the website from now until July 27. In fact, the Nintendo Switch OLED offer is probably the best I’ve ever seen for the hugely popular console that’s always in high demand. As you can see from the link below, Argos is selling the superb Nintendo Switch OLED console for just £269.99 when customers use the code GAMING10. Even better, however, is that the Switch OLED comes with free three games when you visit the Special Offers section further down the page. It’s an absolutely fantastic deal, and even better than the one on the Amazon website.
The three free games include Flipping Death, Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain and Everybody 1-2 Switch.
Admittedly, the free games aren’t the best, but you could always trade them in for a different game at CEX, or sell them on eBay.
While the deal is running until July 27, the Argos website is currently listing the item as in-demand, which means it’s selling fast.
However, one big plus is that you can pick up your order on the same day as ordering, and even get same-day delivery for a small fee.
Likewise, Argos customers can spread the payments by selecting Klarna when purchasing the item at checkout.
We’d be surprised if Argos drops the price even lower on Black Friday, so it might be a good idea to purchase now ahead of Christmas.
Likewise, if you are in the market for a brand new Nintendo Switch console, the OLED version is the one to get.
Far superior to the original Switch, the OLED model comes with a bigger 7-inch OLED screen. The OLED display is far brighter than its predecessor, featuring more vibrant colours that really bring Nintendo’s games to life.
It also fixes one of my biggest gripes with the original Switch console. The flimsy stand of old is replaced by a wider stand that’s much hardier.
It also comes with a wired LAN port for online play, as well as 64GB of internal storage, and enhanced audio.
Of course, like the original Switch, the OLED can be played like a traditional console on TV, or used as a handheld device.
You can even stand the console on a table, remove the controllers and play local multiplayer with friends or family.
