Dissolve shower screen limescale in five minutes with home remedy that ‘works every time’

Limescale loves to accumulate in thick layers on shower screens making the enclosure look gloomy.

When this mineral-rich water passes through your shower head, it clings to everything it touches, from the glass screen, tiles and fixtures.

Once the water evaporates, the limescale deposits are left behind, which can build up over time if not cleaned regularly, ruining the sparkle of your shower.

Luckily, the owner and CEO of MaidForYou Delah Gomasi has shared how to go about this cleaning dilemma.

He said: “Shower screen cleaning is a difficult one. If it’s done wrongly you’ll get streaks, and may not be able to remove the watermarks which can be counterintuitive to the cleaning process.

“I’ve found the best way to remove limescale from shower screens that works every time, even if you’ve never done professional cleaning before.”

Instead of using harsh chemicals first, Delah has recommended treating cloudy shower screens using household ingredients, and there’s one in particular – white vinegar.

The cleaning professional said: “Look no further than vinegar if you’re after an eco-friendly way to remove limescale.”

All you have to do is combine vinegar and dish soap in a bottle and spray them onto your shower screen.

He explained: “It doesn’t have a strong smell and works as advertised. You simply apply it to the shower screen and let it sit and wipe once done. Rinse and repeat until the limescale has been removed from your shower screen.”

Alternatively, households can pick up the Zep Commercial Calcium, Lime and Rust Cleaner which works similarly for £9.49 on Amazon.

Customers say this cleaning agent is effective and easy to use. It removes rust stains, calcium stains, and restores surfaces like shower screens to like-new condition. Customers are pleased with its performance and recommend it highly.
