A partnership between Morrisons and Heinz is offering a free meal to customers.
People who “Ask for Henry” at the counter of the supermarket’s Morrisons cafes will receive a completely free jacket potato topped with Heinz Cheesy Beanz.
The meal would normally cost £3.50 for a jacket potato and an extra 75p for the beans – adding up to £4.25.
The discrete “Ask for Henry” request is based on the fact the food giant was founded by one Henry Heinz.
The initiative follows on from previous campaigns in 2022 and 2023 which saw Morrisons and Heinz feed tens of thousands of customers.
Morrisons bosses said its café colleagues have been trained on the code word and will understand phrases like “Is Henry here?”, “Henry,” “Can I have a Henry?”, “Can I ask for Henry?”, and similar expressions.
Chris Strong, Morrisons Cafe Senior Buying Manager, said: “Customers continue to tell us how grateful they were for our previous ‘Ask for Henry’ initiatives and so we’re really pleased to be bringing it back.
“We know that the busy summer months can add to customers’ financial pressures, especially with extra mouths to feed, so we’re pleased to be partnering with Heinz and offering this delicious meal.”
The deal is available in all Morrisons’ 397 cafés and is on every day through to July 14 while cafés are serving hot food.
This is a total freebie with no minimum spend required, but it is limited to one free jacket potato and beans per customer, per day.
Morrisons will also continue to offer its Kids Eat Free initiative, meaning families can access a free kids meal when purchasing any adult main meal costing over £5.
The offer is available every day, seven days a week for any child aged under 16 in Morrisons Cafe nationwide.
The free kids’ meal comes with a piece of fruit and Tropicana kids’ orange or apple drink or bottle of water to drink.
Kids can choose between a hot meal on the café kids menu or a pick ‘n’ mix style meal, including a sandwich, snack and drink. Dishes include – macaroni cheese, bangers and mash, fish fingers and chips, and chicken nuggets, chips and peas
