Billionaire tennis star nets £100k payday in net worth boost before Emma Raducanu showdown

Jessica Pegula added £104,000 to her gigantic net worth after defeating Anna Kalinskaya 6-7 6-4 7-6 to lift the Berlin Open title. The American star claimed her first grass-court title in perfect preparations for Wimbledon and her upcoming potential clash with Emma Raducanu.

Pegula, whose father Terry boasts a net worth estimated at £5.5billion as the owner of NFL side Buffalo Sabres and, with his wife Kim Pegula, NFL franchise Buffalo Bills, saved five match points to claw her way to glory and continue an impressive comeback from injury.

Victory in Germany is her first title of the year, fifth of her career, in a major boost for her SW19 hopes after she was forced to sit out of the clay-court season.

She is the first top-10 player to defeat Kalinskaya in 2024 and will arrive in Eastbourne in a buoyant mood to potentially take on Emma Raducanu, with the pair upping their preparations before the British Grand Slam.

Raducanu, now ranked 165th in the world after also skipping the French Open, will need to first overcome another American star in Sloane Stephens to set up a blockbuster south-coast clash with Pegula.
