News images of suspects in fatal shooting of 16-year-old Bronx boy

NYPD detectives have released surveillance images of two men wanted for fatally shooting a 16-year-old boy in the head as a group of men played dice outside a Bronx smoke shop.

Alberto “Amir” Roque was watching the game on E. 162nd St. near Third Ave. around 9:05 p.m. Monday when two men opened fire at him, according to cops and witnesses.

The teen was rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where he died Tuesday at 6:30 a.m.

“[There were] a lot of shots,” a witness told the Daily News on Monday. “[Amir] was on the ground shot in the head. When they put him in the ambulance he was foaming from the mouth.”

The two shooters were a short distance from Amir and standing side-by-side when they opened fire. Police said the teen was shot amid a dispute, but it was not immediately clear who the two men were aiming at.

Detectives recovered grainy surveillance footage of the gunmen walking together in the area. At least one of the suspects was sporting a large grey backpack, cops said.

The killing has rattled Amir’s family — especially his heartbroken mother, who was running to the store to get groceries when she came across her own son’s murder.

“They told me Amir was the one that was shot and I fell to the floor and I started screaming. Dropped my groceries and everything,” she previously told The News.

Amir was about three blocks from home when he was shot, cops said.

The two gunmen ran off. No arrests have been made.
