An 82-year-old man died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver two blocks from the victim’s Bronx home, police said Thursday.
William Bravo was crossing Southern Blvd. near E. 149th St. about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday when he was struck by the driver of a gray Chrysler, police said.
The driver continued south Southern Blvd., turning right onto E. 149th St. then right onto Prospect Ave., police said.
Medics took Bravo to Lincoln Hospital, where he later died. He was two blocks from home when he was struck.
Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows the driver going around a city bus after the collision.
