After Jessica Vestal’s rocky breakup with ex Jimmy Presnell on “Love Is Blind” season 6, the reality star has a second chance at love on the second season of Netflix’ “Perfect Match.”
“I didn’t get the outcome that I really wanted out of ‘Love Is Blind,’ but I got what I needed, which was good practice for when I do meet my husband and just being able to be vulnerable and give all of myself to someone, just freely,” Vestal told The Daily News ahead of the show’s June 7 premiere.
And while she hopes to find her twin flame this time around, she expects a completely different experience, noting “the premise of ‘Perfect Match’ is completely different than ‘Love Is Blind.’”
The hit dating series, which films at Casa Naga in Playa Bonita, Panama, “brings together the most famously single stars of Netflix’s unscripted series to a tropical paradise in an attempt to find love,” according to the streamer.
The 22 cast members are entering the “Hunger Games” of dating shows, where the couples are subjected to a series of challenges to determine which duo has the best connection.
The couple dubbed the “most compatible” gets to bring in new singles for the contestants they believe are struggling with finding love.
While her “Love Is Blind” experience wasn’t ideal, Vestal is grateful the hit series opened the door for this new opportunity to find love.
“I’ve always said it, but I don’t know if I really meant it is rejection truly is redirection of where you’re really supposed to be going,” she told The News.
Fans remember Jessica as the single mother whose romantic connection Presnell broke up with her in the pods and proposed to fellow “Love Is Blind” star Chelsea Blackwell.
Vestal became known for her reaction to the break-up: “When you see and realize what you missed out on, you are going to choke,” she declared. “You are going to need your EpiPen to open up your airways because you are going to be in disbelief of what you missed out on.”
Meanwhile, an unlikely castmate from “Love Is Blind” will also join the cast: Trevor Sova, the contestant who already had a girlfriend before entering the pods.
Although Vestal and Sova were never romantically linked on “Love Is Blind”, could they find a connection with each other this time around?
