Eric Trump ripped apart over 'deluded' statement as dad Donald faces jail

Eric Trump has been labeled “delusional” after he said May 30 “might be remembered as the day Donald J. Trump won the 2024 Presidential Election.”

The second eldest son of the former president exited the New York courtoom alongside his convicted father. But Eric chose to break his silence on social media, making the comment on X.

Users were quick to rip apart Trump Jr’s comment.

One said: “You truly are delusional!”. Another wrote: “Justice. MATTERS.”

Model Jules Morgan said in response: “Your convicted felon daddy will never be the President of the United States.”

Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in his hush money trial, a jury decided on Thursday after just over 11 hours of deliberations.

This makes him the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes.

Jurors rules that he had falsified business records in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through hush money payments to an adult film actress who said the two had sex.

The jurors — a diverse cross-section of Manhattan residents and professional backgrounds — often appeared riveted by testimony in the trial, including from Cohen and Daniels.

Many took notes and watched intently as witnesses answered questions from Manhattan prosecutors and Trump’s lawyers.

The verdict was return after just 11 hours of deliberation.

Trump will be sentenced on July 11.

DON’T MISS:

Speaking outside the court, a shellshocked Trump vowed to fight on and branded the trial “rigged.”

He also claimed he’s “a very innocent man.”

The 77-year-old Republican said: “I’m a very innocent man…This was a rigged, disgraceful trial…This was done by the Biden administration in order to hurt a political opponent. It’s a disgrace, and we’ll keep fighting. Our country has gone to hell. We’re a nation in decline.

“This was a rigged decision right from day one, with a conflicted judge who should never have been allowed to judge this case…The real verdict is in November.”
