A video that appears to show an altercation at a Cannes afterparty involving Travis Scott and Cher’s boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards, has caught social media in a frenzy.
The brawl, which happened at promoter Richie Akiva’s afterparty, also involved producer Southside, according to TMZ.
Sources close to the situation tell the outlet the fight started when rapper Tyga and Travis were behind the DJ booth and Richie took to the microphone to give both rappers a shout out saying, “We got T-Raww, AE and Travis in the building.”
Travis reportedly wasn’t happy about being lumped in together with Tyga and didn’t take it well, prompting AE, who is also Tyga’s best friend, to say something Travis.
Subsequently, Travis approached Tyga’s security with threats and left the stage. The “Astroworld” artist shortly returned with Southside who tussled with AE, which then led to the confrontation between Travis and AE.
But sources say no one was seriously hurt and security quickly broke it up before it escalated. Travis and Southside returned to their cars, while AE and Tyga stayed and enjoyed the rest of the event until the early morning.
In the video, Richie seems audibly upset that there was violence at his party.
Both Travis and Tyga previously dated Kylie Jenner, though it’s unclear if that’s the reason they don’t get along.
