Woman pepper sprays MTA bus driver in the Bronx

A woman pepper sprayed a Bronx bus driver in the face, police said Tuesday.

The 51-year-old MTA driver was working his route on a BX28 bus near the corner of Valentine Ave. and E. 192nd St. in Fordham on May 3 when the woman approached him around 4:20 p.m., cops said.

She took out a canister of pepper spray and doused the driver’s face.

After the attack, she got off the bus and took off on foot.

The driver suffered pain and swelling to his face and was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was treated.

Cops on Tuesday released images of the woman in the hopes someone may recognize her.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
