Malik Nabers sounded skeptical about the Giants’ new Century Red uniforms at the NFL Players’ Association’s Rookie Premier last weekend.
A Sports Illustrated reporter told Nabers: “The Giants just unveiled their red throwback jerseys. What do we think about that? Give some honest feedback here.”
So Nabers was honest.
“It’s gonna be hard to swag it out,” the Giants’ first-round pick said. “That’s all I got to say about it.”
The reporter followed up: “How do you make that look good?”
“I don’t know,” Nabers said. “I’m gonna see when I put it on.”
The Giants will only wear the uniforms honoring their franchise’s 100th anniversary up to two times this season, so Nabers might only have to play in it once.
The reporter then assured Nabers “if anyone can make it look good, it’s you.”
“Oh, of course,” the confident Nabers said. “For sure.”
