Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa spotted together weeks after announcing break up

Tennis stars Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa have sparked speculation that they’ve rekindled their romance after being spotted together in Monte Carlo this weekend. The two pro players were reportedly seen holding hands in Monaco on Saturday, less than a fortnight after confirming they are no longer an item.

According to Sportskeeda, the pair visited shopping centres together before leaving in the Tsitsipas’ Aston Martin V12 Speedster vehicle. A video of them spending time together duly went viral on social media, although neither has confirmed if they are an item or not.

Only on May 5, Spanish player Badosa took to social media to announce they had separated, having begun dating after missing at the Italian Open in June 2023. “After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably part ways,” she wrote.

“We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths. We are grateful for the support of our friends, family, and all who have been part of our story,” she wrote.

“As we transition into this new chapter of our lives, we continue to wish each other nothing but the best in our endeavours. We kindly ask for privacy during this time, and we thank you for your understanding and respect.”

But the latest developments have immediately got tennis fans talking, with @LavanyaVocalNEW posting on X: “So it looks like Tennis Power Couple Tsitsidosa are back on.” Others argued they deserved ongoing privacy though, @Joanspanou saying: “It’s their life they don’t need the permission from nobody It seems that this love story is not over…”

To further fuel rumours, Tsitsipas’ mother Julia was in Rome last week. And she was seen watching Badosa in action at the recent Italian Open despite the apparent break-up with her son.

Indeed, just days before being spotted together, the two players were ironically in action again in Rome for this year’s tournament. Tsitsipas, 25, beat Cameron Norrie and Alex de Minaur en route to the quarter finals, before the Greek star was beaten by eventual finalist Nicolas Jarry.

Badosa meanwhile, made the last-16 as she continues to rebuild after an injury plagued 2023. There, she lost out to Coco Gauff in three sets, with the American going on to lose to Iga Swiatek in the final four.
