Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are seeking solutions amid speculation that there’s trouble in paradise.
The couple was spotted together in public for the first time in over a month on Thursday, but there’s reportedly marriage trouble and sources tell The Daily News the “Selena” actress needs “emotional support” navigating this year’s album flop and struggling tour sales.
“She needs serious emotional support now and Affleck is not built for that,” the source said.
The “Gigli” stars also reportedly aren’t living under the same roof, and Lopez thinks moving to another city altogether might help them reset. “She suggested they move to New York to see if leaving Los Angeles would be helpful. But his kids are still in school and her twins have a year to go to finish high school,” an insider tells the News.
Rumors of Lopez and Affleck’s marital problems began surfacing after she showed up to the 2024 Met Gala solo last week. And, earlier this week, Lopez was spotted house hunting in Beverly Hills with Affleck nowhere in sight.
An insider told In Touch Weekly that Lopez convinced Affleck to do couples therapy but that it hasn’t been much help so far.
“Ben believes in therapy, to a point, and is willing to be a good sport about participating with an open mind, even though he hates the whole humiliating process,” a source told the outlet.
“He’s never going to gauge the success of this marriage by what happens in the therapist’s office. He also has a higher tolerance for conflict and having to fight to get his way than the average guy.”
Together, the couple has a blended family of five children, three of which are from Affleck’s previous marriage to Jessica Garner. And Lopez has 16-year-old twins from ex husband Marc Anthony.
Daily News reached out to a rep for Affleck and did not immediately hear back.
