Tesco banking app down leaving customers locked out of accounts as website also crashes

The Tesco online banking app and website have gone down this morning.

This morning 53 percent of customers had an issue with mobile banking according to complaints tracking website DownDetector.

The website also reported that of the 606 people that reported issues this morning, 30 percent had trouble with the online banking service.

Tesco customers have been left frustrated by the lack of access to their funds.

One customer took to X to complain that the service was “utterly useless”.

The customer highlighted the 1* rating she, and others, had given the app and said that it seemed that Tesco doesn’t “seem to have any plans to fix it”.

Another customer posted on X: “Tesco Bank Help?? But you don’t actually help. Like today when I’ve been trying to login to the app to check transactions.

“App keeps telling me my connection is weak. Actually it’s Tesco Bank that has the problem! Why not communicate via your help account?”
