Margarida Corceiro – the supermodel rumoured to be dating Lando Norris – kept quiet on her social media channels after the McLaren star claimed his first-ever career victory at the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday.
The 24-year-old capitalised on a fortunately-timed safety car to convert the alternate strategy into the net race lead, before opening up a seven-second gap to Max Verstappen in second. Norris managed his final stint to perfection to break his duck and claim a Grand Prix victory at the 110th time of asking.
There were wild scenes in the pit lane and on the McLaren pit wall after the race as an ecstatic Norris celebrated the momentous occasion with the team that has backed him since his junior career. One person who may not have been so delighted though is Corceiro, given her partner’s answers in a lie detector test before the event.
Norris took on the iconic Sky Sports F1 lie detector test with Simon Lazenby ahead of the race weekend in Miami. During the test, he was asked whether or not he had a girlfriend. He denied having one and this was deemed correct by Russ, the adjudicator.
As a follow-up question, Lazenby asked: “Do you have many girlfriends?” This produced a laugh from Norris, who jokingly replied: “Yes” before letting out a giggle.
While no official confirmation of Norris and Corceiro’s relationship has been given, the pair have been spotted together on multiple occasions over the past 12 months, while the latter has attended Grands Prix in support of the McLaren star.
The 21-year-old model dated former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix between 2019 and 2023, starting their partnership at the age of just 17, but the pair navigated a public split in June last year.
Corceiro and Norris were first spotted together in public in May 2023 with the Bristol-born driver giving the model a cruise around Monaco in the back of his classic Fiat Jolly. More recently, they were spied in attendance at Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud’s Monte-Carlo Masters final.
However, the Portuguese model doesn’t only visit Norris at his home in Monaco. As per Correio da Manha, the couple were snapped together at Vigo Airport in Spain earlier this year, while Corceiro was in attendance at the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai.
Despite these sightings, Corceiro and Norris have opted to keep their relationship private for now with the latter refusing to admit to any official partnerships in public. Therefore, when he took the chequered flag to claim his maiden career F1 victory on Sunday, there were no celebratory social media posts from the 21-year-old.
