Yankees star slugger Aaron Judge ejected for first time in his career

Aaron Judge was ejected from a game for the first time in his career Saturday after taking issue with a called third strike.

The Yankees captain said something to home-plate umpire Ryan Blakney after being rung up on a seventh-inning 3-2 pitch from Tigers reliever Tyler Horton that appeared to be off the plate.

Judge was walking back toward the Yankee Stadium dugout when Blakney tossed him.

The ejection seemed to surprise Judge, who returned with more words for Blakney as manager Aaron Boone rushed onto the field to intervene.

A loud chant of “Ump, you suck,” broke out within the crowd of 45,017 shortly after Judge left the game.

Judge finished the day 2-for-4 with an RBI.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
