The World Snooker Championship semi-final clashes get back underway today with the game between 2015 champion Stuart Bingham and Jak Jones on a knife-egde. The pair are locked at 8-8 after a gripping first two sessions, and resume their battle at 10am.
Kyren Wilson is on the verge of the final though, he’s leading David Gilbert 14-10. But Gilbert did give himself a glimmer of hope on Friday night though, winning the final frame with a century break to reduce the deficit to four. And with the semi-final games best-of-33 ties, there is still plenty of time for him to turn things around.
After Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump were knocked out of the competition earlier this week, a surprise name will be on the famous trophy this year with each of the final-four eyeing a huge opportunity.
Bingham is the only previous winner left in the competition, but Wilson has been in a final in 2020, losing to O’Sullivan in a behind-closed-doors affair.
