Warzone Season 3 Reloaded release time, date, new weather system, killstreaks and more

It’s another big week for Call of Duty fans, as Season 3 Reloaded comes to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. The mid-season update gives the gameplay a refresh, adding new content like maps, weapons and game modes, not to mention new rewards. Available on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, Call of Duty Warzone Season 3 Reloaded has a May 1 release date and a 5pm BST UK launch time. Needless to say, Activision will release a big new update as part of the mid-season refresh, so check back for the full list of patch notes to find out about changes to weapon balance, maps, and lots more. What we do know is that Call of Duty Warzone will be getting new perks, armour, weapons and killstreaks.

First up is the new Foresight killstreak, which can be found as a piece of rare loot.

A useful new killstreak, the Foresight ability shows players the location of every future gas circle in the match.

That’s on top of the Specialist Perk Package, which sees your Operator benefit from all available perks.

Other new features include the return of the Weapon Trade Station on Rebirth Island.

This allows users to trade-in a weapon for one of a lower rarity, as well as some extra loot.

Activision explains more: “The extra items that drop may include ammo, cash, and equipment (Tacticals, Lethals, Field Upgrades, Killstreaks, Gas Masks). With some luck, trading in a powerful weapon may even reward the Specialist Perk Package, with even better rewards during a Fire Sale!”

Elsewhere, fans can discover a new Utility Box Field Upgrade, which combines Ammo and Armor Boxes to give Operators additional bullets, protection and grenades.

Then there’s the new BAL-27 Assault Rifle, which is unlockable via a new sector in the Call of Duty Battle Pass.

The BAL-27 is said to offer “quick reloads and a unique firing mechanism”. Indeed, the first four shots favour accuracy, while the final shots will finish the job.

Finally, Call of Duty Warzone’s mid-season update will introduce a new variable weather system, which should change up the experience.
